Week 1

Wow! My first post. I’m so glad to be able to share my thoughts and experiences as I attend my Family Relations class. This week we learned about the value and changes of family science research. As a class we looked at trends in our current generation and the percentages behind them. We were able to discuss a few of these trends such as marriage age. The average age according to google was for woman, age 28 and for men, age 30 which is crazy! Probably because I live in a place where people meet each other one week and get married the next. I feel like the culture here is that marriage is the next step in life, so a lot of people are in a rush to get married and start a family. I can see that if that wasn’t the “standard” here then I know that people would wait longer to date and get married, so they have more of an opportunity ...
